Underfloor Heating

What is underfloor heating?

We all know that when our feet are cold, our whole body is cold. Underfloor heating is the answer to this.

How does it work?

Underfloor heating provides the warmth to a room from the floor up, rather than heating the ceiling space first as with radiators. A heating element within the mat can provide room heating to replace traditional radiators or as an additional heating source to take the chill off your flooring. Our electric underfloor heating mats are placed in between the floor base and your floor covering, so whether it's a tiled floor, wooden floorboards or laminate flooring, our heating mats are right for you.

Where can I use it?

Our self adhesive mats can be used in living rooms, kitchens, bathrooms, dining rooms, children's rooms, bedrooms and conservatories. In fact there are not many places you can't use our underfloor heating mats.

Our underfloor heating mats can be laid on top of:

  • Cement creed
  • Anhydrite screen
  • Wooden floor (T2Quicknet90 only)
  • Gypsum board
  • Timber board
  • Floor board

Our underfloor heating can be laid under:

  • Tiles
  • Natural Stone
  • Laminate flooring (with a self-levelling latex filler)

Our mats are only 3mm thick so won't leave you with uneven floor surfaces at the edge of your heated area like some other underfloor heating systems will do.

If you have any questions about your underfloor heating project please don't hesitate to get in touch.

What do I need for underfloor heating?

Our T2QuickNet underfloor heating systems are very easy to install and only consist of two elements, the mat that contains the heating element and the thermostat that controls the temperature and timer functions.

Electric underfloor heating mats

Our T2QuickNet underfloor heating mats are an ultra thin mesh mat with the heating cable running through it, at only 3mm thick the mat can be laid directly into the filler or tile adhesive. They are also conveniently maintenance free as the cable will not corrode or scale. They are laid above the floor base such as concrete or floor board and below the final floor covering such as tiles, natural stone or a laminate flooring (if you are laying T2QuickNet under laminate flooring you must also use a self-levelling latex filler which is available from all good hardware stores).
